I was browsing through this page looking for exactly
what you were looking for when I bumped into your
message.Sorry to say that I am also not aware of any
contest specfics, but I have heard something about
an Aids Education Outreach Foundation contest for
a video about "Safe Sex", for as much as 10,000
and prizes up to fifth place. I know where to get
the info but I'll have to get in touch with my
friend who has it and it might take me a day or two.
The reason why I really wanted to get in touch with
you though, was because I am a second year film
student at Harvard and starting in February my
introductory film class of ten people is going to
be shooting a non-fiction documentary which has
yet to be decided and I felt like your class might
be a good topic for this movie. A film about a
group of young people who might or might not want
to make their own movies some day. I think in a
way our classes might benefit from one another's
presence. Your class might find it inspiring
to be the subjects of and experience first
hand what the next level (film) is all about,
and my class might be able to come out
with an interesting documentary about some of the
new methods of teaching today and what the response
is from the students. So, if you feel like there
might be something there please let me know, and
I'll run it by my classmates and see what they
think. Thank you, and either way I'll get that
CONTEST info for you over the weekend.
