National Exhibtion. Community College Southern Nevada, Las Vegas. "The African-American Experience:Visions of Soul" Sponsored by the CCSN Art Dept. & African Heritage & Cultural Council. Feb. 20 - March 20, 1997. Juror: Faith Ringold. Ms. Ringold is a painter, mixed media sculptor, performance artist, writer and teacher. She is professor of art at the Univ. Southern California, San Diego.
Awards: $1,000 total awards. Award winners will be invited to exhibit as group 1997-98 exhibition year.
PURPOSE: To recognise African-American artsits and their contributions to the art world.
Fee: NO ENTRY FEES
CALENDAR: Dec.23,1996: Deadline fore recipt fo slide entries.
Jan.24,1996: Juror notification send out
Feb.18,1996; Deadline for recipt of accepted work.
Feb. 20 -March 20,1997: Exhibition.
