After you have received your confirmation that verifies your username and password,
you will be able to upload your files to the server.
Please put your confirmation e-mail in a safe place. If you have applied for membership,
but do not receive a confirmation in 48 hours, please contact
admin@fine-art.com.
Uploading your files...
There are numerous ways to create your Website and upload it to our server.
Many of the software packages have built in procedures that help you upload your files.
Regardless of the program you use, you will need the following information about our server:
Site Label: Internet for the Fine Arts
Host Address: ftp.fine-art.com
User ID: type your username here
Password: type your password here
If the program you use does not have an upload feature, We recommend using
Cuteftp. The following tutorial uses Cuteftp,
but should be very similar to any ftp program.
1) Start the program be double clicking on the program icon. You will then be given a window called the "FTP Site Manager."
2) Click on "Add Site" to add "Internet for the Fine Arts." You will then see the following logon window:

3) Use the information above and complete the appropriate fields. Make sure 'Host type' says "auto detect."
Everything else can be left blank.
4) Hit OK.
5) Once you are connected, you will see the files on your home computer in the left window, and your files on our server in the right window (It will be empty).
6) Use the left screen to navigate to where your files are located on your home computer. It works just like Windows Explorer.
7) To upload files, you can physically move the files from the left window over to the right window with your mouse.
8) To download files, move the files from the right window to the left window.
