"For me, art is about pushing the boundaries, so I am always looking for new challenges. It was such a challenge to portray the night sky without it being dark and foreboding. It was a wonderfully evocative night as the moon slid behind the clouds creating a soft diffused light, yet its brilliance is starkly contrasted as it reflects in the water below. This scene unfolded over Slapton Ley in Devon on a return visit last year, there is a thin strip of land that runs for about a mile here to separate the sea and the Ley. In addition to this amazing sight, we had just come from the Start Bay Inn, where you can get some of the best Fish & Chips ever!"
