| I like the structure of this piece and the sudden contrast between the moonlit side and the sunlit side. A lot of potential here! 9/4/2012 |

| Nice presentation of the subtle flash of movement of the goldfish under lily pads. The lily blooms are particularly nice in their detail as well. Your composition is spot on. 9/4/2012 | |
| Beautiful work. Flowers are looking just like real. Nice transition with bright and dark colors, makes my eyes focus on a flowers only. Nice touch by adding fishes in to the picture, they bring some good mood. 9/2/2012 | |
| The detail in each petal of the lilies is incredible. I like how you showed the goldfish taking shelter in the shade of the lilies; this adds a sense of depth to a painting which might have seemed flat otherwise, since there's not true horizon in this piece. 8/24/2012 |

| So bright and cheerful! The warm reds and cool blues, along with the slightly askew angle, make me think of Matisse. Lots of great texture here, too. 9/4/2012 | |
| Charming painting, interesting choice of fruits on a table. Judging by flowers it's certainly spring or early summer season. Nice use of a bright colors, nice shapes and forms. Good work 9/2/2012 |

| Amazing bracelet. It looks very nice and delicate. I am sure that will look even better on a woman's hand. 9/3/2012 |

| Beautiful picture, flowers are looking alive. Good choice for background colors, so it won't stole any attention from flower. Nice work 9/3/2012 | |
| This is a very fluid piece. I love how each flower is different -- in shape, shade, or pose. The weaving stems highlight the fragility of the blossoms, suggesting the fragile nature of the beauty represented here. Beautiful work. 8/24/2012 | |
| Love the colors of this. The vibrant reds could truly stand out in any room. 3/13/2012 |

| Sweet picture! Very nice composition by placing a flower on a left side of a picture. This element lets to eyes focus on a whole picture, and not just on a flower. Also great work with sun light! 9/2/2012 | |
| This is a very engaging work. The realistic detail, color palette, and sense of movement and sunlight all work together well. The water is particularly well done. Nice job! 8/29/2012 | |
| The composition...the lily pads draw your eye to the blossom, then the blue ripples dance you over toward the top, where the dark break in the ripples lead you right back to the blossom again. 9/28/2011 | |
| Thank you so much Charles. You speak as an aritst perhaps? This piece is all about the light passing through the petals, dancing off the lillies. 9/28/2011 | |
| This has a fresh look of an old subject...especially liking the lack of a "overworked" appearance...the impression of the subject comes through clearly and allows the viewer's imagination to finish what the artist started. 9/22/2011 |

| I understand this is some sort of middle east. The style you choose for it is also pointing out a style that people there are living in, when women are hiding their faces, just like this painting are not giving any clear details. 9/1/2012 |

| Great photo! Composition is just perfect, nicely captured sunset. Too bad that picture here is so small that it's impossible to see all the details. 9/1/2012 | |
| You can just feel the stillness and peace. The water is so tranquil. 3/13/2012 |

| The high degree of skillful realism is obviously part of what makes this piece great. My favorite aspect, though, is the interplay of textures and patterns-- zebra stripes, grass, clouds, and trees. The distinction between darkest darks and grays is really nicely done, too. 8/29/2012 | |
| Amazing detail! Expert understanding of the reality. 3/13/2012 | |
| An excellent use of charcoal. Your detail is great and helps to make the drawing look real. I feel like the zebra's ( the onefacing the viewer) nose is a bit large, but maybe it's just me.The lines in the drawing are all very crisp and you made good use of shadow. An excellent art piece overall. | |
| Beautiful work! Amazing detail, good composition, like the 2 opposite views (a little humour maybe?), and the background supports your main subject without being a distraction. |

| I don't always enjoy geometric-based abstract works, but this one works for me. The skill of the painting evokes other media, as if this were folded paper or even steels. Nice job! 8/29/2012 | |
| Nice tonal balance, light and movement. Ienjoy the way this piece draws the eye in and around and the quality of the surface. It seems a work inspired by great understanding and love. 12/27/2011 | |
| Exquisite as always David. The monochromism works so well here with the marble like features. Love this and would hang it on my wall! | |
| This painting was done in a gray scale manner. The texture on the canvas is not unlike steel and has a reflective quality to it. Most of it was painted using my hands and fingers. David Ehlen | |
| Wow this is so cool. I think it's something I'd like to hang over my sofa. It make me think of a church. Or of architecture. A few more colors would be nice, but they are not necessary. It looks like you had a lot of fun making this. Also it is mysterious. |

| Interesting style, looks like complete mess, but there is pointing out some meaning in it. 8/28/2012 | |
| This piece offers a lot of visual interest. There are so many places for the viewer's eye to go, and the bright colors support this feeling of movement rather than detracting from it. I like the sense of geometric variations breaking away from the rigidness of the vertical and horizontal bars. 8/21/2012 |

| Interesting art. I am not fully understanding how was it done, but it has a good impression on me. Colors mix are really delightful 8/28/2012 | |
| This piece is striking and spare, hinting at the personal significance but offering primarily a universality in the hints of imagery and handwriting. The turquoise and bright red elements against the monotone background create a strong horizontal that suggests solidity. In a sense, those red squares... 8/21/2012 |

| Such a simple picture, but it will make such a great wallpaper. It's amazing that by only taking some small part of an object, you can create so much deepness and affection. Good work 8/27/2012 | |
| An absolutely amazing use of contrast and opposing colors to create an interesting, layered piece. The lighting is also excellently utilized here, creating highlights that draw the eye along the subject. 8/24/2012 |

| Interesting techniques. Looks like photography but with a mix of colors it's also could be a painting. Good composition, it makes a picture more full and complicated by using object reflection in it. 8/27/2012 | |
| Thanks very much Tracy, I don't often visit my d'Art site any more, so it was a surprise to get your excellent feed back for which I am most grateful!david : ) 8/22/2012 | |
| Lovely image in and of itself, but my favorite aspect of it is the Rorschach-like reflection. It's impossible to look at these fruits without really seeing them, thanks to the brain-fooling doubling effect of the glass. The fruit's textures are beautifully rendered, as well. 8/21/2012 |

| Nice painting. I love work of shades you done here, it brings on light to a subject at the picture. The story seems simple and sad, but when you looking on other objects there is possibility to some hidden subtext here. 8/26/2012 | |
| There's more here than seems to meet the eye at first glance. It's a very personal story with some intriguing details, from the doll to the chipped paint in the corner. The hint of surreality (the fish, the way the fabrics seem to melt and smear into their surroundings) adds a depth that makes this... 8/21/2012 | |
| This painting is very emotive. The style of painting used, reflects the mood of the painting well. I do not know if it was intended (hope that it was) but there are so many meanings in this painting. The feelings are portrayed well with the choice of colour used in the corners. I love this painting,... |

| This is very different from a lot of other work on this site. It stands out! Your attention to anatomy is impressive; you managed to accentuate a lot of the woman's curves without exaggerating them to utterly impossible proportions. Her expression is also very well done. 8/21/2012 | |
| Thank you, that's quite a compliment :) 8/21/2012 | |

| This reminds me subtly of some of Dave McKean's work. The stretched, distorted figures, the impossible but elegant pose of the figure on the right, and the muted colors create a sense of vast scale in a surreal landscape. This is accentuated further by the fact that the figures are not fully depicte... 8/20/2012 | |

Nice juxtaposition of the central black rectangle, which implies a door or a boundary, with the sense of rootedness that is evoked by the figures' legs extendi... 8/18/2012 |

![]()
| Lovely painting, it has very interesting style, and so many great details. Looks like it wants to show some deeper meaning of thing, sort of looking through mask on the world. 8/18/2012 | |
| I love how you subverted expectations of perspective -- we're forced to look through the "wrong" side of the mask's eyes. Coupled with the romantic, Victorian-esque aspects of the painting, this makes for a dynamic viewing experience. The lighting effects are curious. I can't tell if the only source... 8/16/2012 | |
