Mann is an artist who has first-hand knowledge of the Native American
culture and the proud people he paints. He has intensely studied the
history of the Western Indian tribes and also lived among them. Night Signs
portrays a chief and two of his braves gazing at the endless, lapis-hued
horizon as they make their way across the silent, dark plains.
