HISTORY & BACKGROUND

John Mominee is a Wisconsin artist known for his handsome, large-format monotypes. Collectors respond to the extraordinary color, sensuous texture and relationship of light to dark. Paint brushed onto a Plexiglas plate that is printed using an etching press creates the monotype. Each transfer painting is unique and original.
