One of a series of photographic works based on images of the Nice Gallery of Modern Art in the South of France. This piece shows an installation of metal chairs behind the windows of the entrance of the Gallery courtyard. The chairs were tangled and faced every-which-way which I enjoyed. I aslo enjoyed the reflections in the glass and the symmetry of the multi-story metal facade. The sense of disorientation is added to here by a 90 degree turn of the perspective.

I am a 'New Media' Artist and Photographer living and working in Bath. Starting as a conventional media artist (waterclours, acrylics, pen and ink etc) in recent years I have moved completely into the field of digital and new media fine arts. My works are created from under paintings drawn in a variety of sources - ranging from traditional mediums (watercolours, acrylics, inks etc) - to photographs, and original digital images, all of which are recomposed and/or finished digitally. I am convinced that the web is the key to the democratic future of the visual arts. I get much positive critical feedback from buyers of my art, and visitors to my on-line art sites, which together receive millions of hits each year. I also use the virtual environment to share critiques and associate with an international group of fellow artists, collectors and art lovers. The subjects and styles I employ in my art and photography range ascoss the entire face of modernism and incorporate elements of conceptual art.I am a member of the 'For Now' group of artists in Bath. Profile Coming from an inventive, thoughtful and accomplished photographer I take this as a special compliment! I agree that it is the 'process' of creating art which is the greatest joy, greater even than the enjoyment it may give others afterwards, which is another privilege of creativity. I also love the...
Profile David: Have seen much of your work and am absolutely impressed with the way you work. Process of making art is a joy, involves risk and involve a thoughtful approach your works evoke all of this. Thanx for all your energy, Sam
Profile Fascinating piece!
Profile another wonderful composition
Profile The disorientation is quite deliberate as the title suggests. The piece has an explanation which reads: "One of a series of photographic works based on images of the Nice Gallery of Modern Art in the South of France.
