Another example of the 'ready made' abstract objects that I seek out with my camera. In this case a section of the glass and steel structure in the Louvre Pyramid. In this piece I was also attempting to ekoke the feelings of 'film noir' Paris and the Europe of Orson Well's Third Man - the sense of a glowering sky passing over a weak sun expressed in sepia tones. Key Words: Photography Cityscape Paris Architecture Film Noir

I am a 'New Media' Artist and Photographer living and working in Bath. Starting as a conventional media artist (waterclours, acrylics, pen and ink etc) in recent years I have moved completely into the field of digital and new media fine arts. My works are created from under paintings drawn in a variety of sources - ranging from traditional mediums (watercolours, acrylics, inks etc) - to photographs, and original digital images, all of which are recomposed and/or finished digitally. I am convinced that the web is the key to the democratic future of the visual arts. I get much positive critical feedback from buyers of my art, and visitors to my on-line art sites, which together receive millions of hits each year. I also use the virtual environment to share critiques and associate with an international group of fellow artists, collectors and art lovers. The subjects and styles I employ in my art and photography range ascoss the entire face of modernism and incorporate elements of conceptual art.I am a member of the 'For Now' group of artists in Bath. Profile The contrast between the stillness and seeming fragility of the structure and the movement of the clouds is a key feature of this piece, so I am delighted that you see this in it too. david: )
Profile Great composition David, I love the feel of stillness from the structure in contrast with the motion of the clouds.
Profile They still load onto the upload screen full size and then shrink to a much smaller size when fully loaded - see my Red Fort Composition #1 and John Lennon Imagine Dyptich #1. Can this be changed in any way? david: )
Profile I will try that out at some point! david: )
Profile ... upper right quadrant and central left. Lee
