Oil on Canvas 36-48.
This original oil painting was created in 2003. For Lake I used a lot of oil paint so it has a lot of texture, at some points the paint is about 1 - 1,5 inches of the canvas. To really appreciate this original oil painting on canvas just move away from your computer and look at it from about 3-4 feet. This is what will happen with the original as well; the farther away you are the more clear the details would be.
I was born in City of Baku, Azerbaijan (one of the republics of the former USSR).I graduated from the Architectural College in Azerbaijan at the top of my class. Then I worked for the City of Baku as an assistant of the executive architect. In 1990 I came to the USA. I started to paint back in school. I'm painting for over 30 years now.My father was a well known artist in Azerbaijan, so I guess the love of art is just runs in the blood.I love painting. My favorite media is oil on canvas. Whenever I can I paint oil paintings.Right now I live in Chicago, and I enjoy this city so much that I dedicated many painting series to it. One of my first ones here in USA is "Streets of Chicago". There are only 3 paintings left in the series they were hanged in my house for a while. Feel free to look at them. No one had see them for over 10 years. The style that I enjoy a lot is impressionism.See more information at Mikhai Onanov - Biography
