The Faith Series makes a strong statement about belief.
Each piece is a one of a kind painting, rendered on 1/8" hardboard.
1st: The rich, vibrant background (resembling stained-glass)is painted.
2nd: A cross is designed and a stencil is cut in that shape.
3rd: The stencil is placed on top of the painting and a textured layer (made up from gel and paint) is applied.
4th: Before this mixture drys, the 'jewels' are selected and added.
5th: A varnish finish is applied; this helps to preserve the collage elements and heightens the clarity of the colors.
A sawtooth hanger applied to the back means framing is not necessary... simply unwrap and hang on your wall.
