	This promises to be an interesting piece. The pose of the model and dark shadows suggest a carefully-composed print. Unfortunately, this reproduction is so small that I feel a lot of detail is lost, particularly in the ruffles of the dress and in the shadowed areas. I'm simultaneously intrigued and...  10/14/2012
	Posed portraits are so much more interesting when the viewer becomes engaged in direct relationship with the subject, and that happens here very effectively. This is a masterful handling of light and shadow, figure drawing, and composition. Really nice work.  9/5/2012
	Such a sad lady in such a nice dress. Interesting color work, nicely painted. Too many dark spots on a picture ( at list thats what is possible to see in this little copy) , but it's working to create some curious atmosthere in the picture. Good work.  9/1/2012
