about gisellaI was born in Bosnia, grew up in Germany, lived for many years in Holland and then found my Swiss dream man Max. Living in Zuerich and Lugano, Switzerland, I often visited Venice, and the quaint little island of Murano, where the most famous glass makers in there world have worked for centuries. I fell in love with the beautiful colors and the masterful craft of the artisans and was inspired to create special jewelry for special people and started my custom made jewelry business in 1990 in small studio in Lugano, Switzerland. In 1996 I moved with my family, husband Max, daughter Larissa to Boca Raton, Florida . Maybe, our Dalmatian, Toby our Maine Coon and Lola our Tabby cat are very important family members too. The Murano glass beads I am using are made of blown, clear cristallo, colored, or opaque glass. Silver, gold or platinum may be applied inside the beads to achieve an intricate pattern and filigree on the outside to accent the beads and the necklace. My new line of stunning contemporary jewelry includes corals, chalcedony, crysophase, amber, crystals and turquoise.Distinctive in shape, delicate in design, each peace of my jewelry is handmade and includes many one-of-a-kind styles.I was awarded first prize at an International Art Show and received an Merit Award from the Polk Museum of Art, Florida. The judge was the director of the Dallas Contemporary Museum of Modern Art.
