LIMITED EDITION Giclee on Canvas-STRETCHED Edition Size: 45 Signed & Numbered by the Artist Availability and Price Subject to Change 866-fine-art (866-346-3278) POLLY NORMAN Polly Norman always enjoyed art and loved to take art classes. Her family encouraged the interest. "One of my fondest childhood memories was when dad would pack the car with canvas boards, brushes and paints and take the four of us out to the country to paint a landscape, usually a farm scene. He would set up easels for us and away we would go! The five of us would paint the same scene and come up with very different results. I had a shining moment during one of those sessions. As a child I felt I could never do anything as well as my older brother. When we were out painting one afternoon, he kept looking back-and-forth at my half-done painting and his. He finally asked me if I would trade paintings with him. I glowed!" Polly Norman said. Polly Norman went to the Abbott-Northwestern School of Nursing and worked as a nurse at Children's Hospital in Minneapolis. She then married, had two sons and stayed home to raise them. Her photography career began as a volunteer for Our Lady of Grace School where her sons were students. Soon her creative talents were widely recognized. She branched out to take photographs for clients and attended photography seminars. This interest created the need for her residential studio. During her 20 year career she expanded into many areas including legal evidence photography, photo illustration and advertising photography. Her commercial work has appeared in newspapers and advertisements. With the success of her commercial photography, Polly Normans talents grew into fine art hand coloring and abstract painting. Eventually she started working on canvas and trained at the Atelier in drawing and painting for 6 years. Today her lively work reflects her broad background in the visual arts with a photographic flair.
