I have been wood sculpting and carving for over 30 years. For the last five years I have been creating wall sculptures utilizing a wide variety of metals ( copper, brass, steel, aluminum & tin) and incorporating various woods (oak, ebony, cherry, aspen, mahogany) into projects. All of my metal work is texturized with many having layers of textures.I must admit, my work is African inspired however many of my projects focus on Nature and/or the African American experience.My academic background is in Business Administration and I have taken art courses at colleges and art schools in Northwest Indiana.
