I saw this bull elk in the Jasper National Park, Alberta, Canada, bugling to challenge all comers to try to take his harem of cow elk away from him. He was absolutely magnificent.
I painted him with acrylics on stretched canvas; he has been entered in the BC Wildlife Federation Artist of the Year competition, and the Ducks Unlimited Alberta Sponsor Artist competition.
