Andy Craig "I was born in Glasgow in 1967 and lived there until the age of six, after which my family moved to Lincoln and where I still live today. My passion for painting started at the age of thirteen when my mother bought me my first set of paints and from there my love for painting grew. Art was the only subject I was ever interested in at school was. My first job as an artist was as a graphic artist for Lincoln City Council. I then moved on to a Games Workshop Design studio in Nottingham working on their monthly Magazine 'White dwarf'. I worked with some very experienced artists there and was always asking them for advice and recommendations. Working there gave me so much experience and helped me develop my painting style. I always remember the train journey in the morning where I'd be constantly gazing out of the window looking at the sky for ideas and inspiration. I later started work at a theatre design company and it was then when I decided I wanted art to be my full time career." |
